I found a photo on the web. Can I use it?

All photos are protected by copyright by default. However, there are many photos licensed for nonprofit, educational use.

If you want to use a photo that you did not take yourself, make sure that you have permission to use it before including it on your poster or other work. You may also need to credit the photo's creator.

Wikimedia Commons provides freely usable photos and graphics. Read the individual license to make sure you are complying with its terms.

You can also use Flickr's advanced search to look for photos released under a Creative Commons license. Again, read the license associated with each photo.

If you have a valid license to a Microsoft Office suite or any of its programs or a software product that includes Microsoft Clip Gallery or Microsoft Clip Organizer, you can download images from the Microsoft Office Clip Art collection.
