In this workshop I will compare the syntax, strengths, and weaknesses of various statistical packages: SAS, SPSS, Stata, and R. Mplus and the AMOS package will be touched upon as well.

Literature Searching (806 Oswald (computer lab), from Oct 01, 2009 12:00 PM to Oct 01, 2009 01:00 PM)

This workshop will introduce you to techniques for searching and obtaining demographic literature, including published articles and books, as well as 'grey' literature such as reports and working papers. We will briefly discuss importing bibliographic records to EndNote and RefWorks.
