Camtasia software
Available for checkout
Camtasia software and a headset microphone are available for checkout by registered PRI faculty, staff, and students from the PRI Library.
The software is loaded on a USB drive. You can check our catalog to see if the software is available for check-out. To borrow the software, or request it if it is not available, see library staff in 705 or 706 Oswald, or e-mail us.
Instructions
- You will need two USB ports that can accommodate the headset and flash drive simultaneously.
- Insert the Logitech USB headset/microphone into your PC and make sure that the hardware is recognized.
- Insert the flash drive into a USB port and navigate to the drive's Program Files folder. Run the CamtasiaStudio application file (CamtasiaStudio.exe). If you are asked for a license key, open the file named "License Key.txt" in the Program Files folder on the flash drive.
- Open your PowerPoint presentation or software you want to demo.
- Launch Camtasia and click "Make a recording". In the Camtasia Recorder window, click the Microphone Audio options and make sure that the LogiTech USB headset is selected.
Troubleshooting
You may need to install the TechSmith Screen Capture Codec on your computer. The installer is located in the Program Files folder on the flash drive (TSCC.exe).
